01. Pink & Blush Tile
Your Grandparent’s pink bathroom is back. Pink tiles were once chic in the 1950s when First Lady Mamie Eisenhower used the color for her bathroom design (referred to as "Mamie Pink"). Today pink and blush have become trending tile colors once again. This time around the color is more natural and has softer earthy undertones. Since this look is trendy, a peel-and-stick smart tile is a great way to get the look without the long-term commitment.

02. Glossy Zellige Tile
Zellige tiles are an amazing substitution for subway tile and add a beautiful organic feel to any space. These tiles are handmade in Morocco from a special blend of clay, then glazed and fired to create a unique surface with lots of character. Each tile has a distinct look, thanks to variations in tone, flatness, depth, and shade.

03. Check Pattern Tile
Checkerboard has been a staple architectural feature spanning thousands of years. I love the look but prefer subtle color variations over super high contrast (like black and white). If you are purchasing 2 different tiles to achieve this look, make sure they are the same height. Also, If you like the look but don’t want to commit long-term, try this peel-and-stick option for floors.

04. Wood Look Tile
As warm minimalism becomes more popular, designers are opting for softer beige and brown colors over white. This wood-look works perfectly for an organic modern style. I would opt for lighter wood tones that have a natural look to keep the style looking clean and modern.

05. Tile Drenching
Tile drenching is more of an idea than a specific tile material. It comes from the recent popular trend of color drenching, which simply means painting everything in the room the same color (walls, trim, and ceiling). Now this trend is translating to tile and is becoming popular in bathrooms. This style creates fewer lines in the room which can be very easy on the eyes. Look for tiles that can be used on floors, walls, showers, and countertops. Smaller tiles seem to work great for this style. See some of my favorite tile ideas below.
