Kitchen Window Plant Shelves
Creating these window shelves for my plants has been one of my easiest and most affordable projects yet.
When I purchased cabinets for my new kitchen project, I didn’t want an all-white kitchen, so I decided to add wood cabinets on the bottom. Once the cabinets were installed, I felt there was a disconnect between the white and wood, so I needed to figure out how to bring some of the wood up to the upper cabinets and mix the two colors. I decided that wood shelving could bring some of that wood tone up, and I found this hardware on Amazon for less than $10, which allowed me to use the space between my cabinets for affordable wood shelves. See the before and after below.
Once I got the hardware, I was lucky enough to find pre-cut wood stair risers from Lowes that fit the space perfectly (48”x7.5”) so all I had to do was use my drill to install these shelf pegs and place the wood shelves on top.
See some of the materials I used below, along with ideas for plants and herbs.
