The holidays are an expensive time of year. The expectations are high, and it’s during this time of year that you feel, more than ever, you have to keep up. Decorations alone cost hundreds, not to mention the holiday cards, wrapping paper, and gifts for everyone you know. Bows & Ribbon
This idea is super easy and affordable—and it’s adorable. Simply adding bows to items around your house, such as candlesticks, picture frames, and light fixtures, will give your home undeniable charm for the holidays. You can do this in any color you like, but red is what I am going for this year. Other trending colors are pink, brown and gold.
Make ordinary objects adorable.
Sometimes a simple bow is all you need.

2. Dried Orange Slices
These natural, often dried ornaments provide eco-friendly decor on a budget. They're easy to incorporate, whether threaded with twine or used in garlands. The vibrant color and sweet fragrance create a beautiful atmosphere. Pair these with twinkling fairy lights and pine cones to add festive cheer to any holiday celebration.
How to make:
Slice assorted fresh citrus fruits like grapefruit or orange into 1/8-inch to 1/4-inch thick slices, keeping them as consistent as possible.
Place the slices on a metal cooling rack and put them in the oven at 175 F for three to four hours, flipping them every hour to ensure even drying. Let them cool to room temperature before handling.
To Make Ornaments: Using ornament hooks, slide wire directly through the dried citrus slices and hang them on your tree.
To Make Garland: Thread twine through several oranges using a crochet needle. Once you’ve achieved your desired length or run out of oranges, tie off the ends in a loop for easy hanging.
